I think that New Year’s resolutions are great and I think that twenty-somethings should definitely set goals, but I think they don’t come around often enough. I like to make a resolution to set a new life goal every season, just to keep things fresh.

According to government, some of the top resolutions are cutting back on drinking, quitting smoking, losing weight and saving money.

My first two resolutions for this year is to take more pictures, and by more I actually mean any. I basically have no pictures from college or the short time I’ve spent out of college, with the exception of the few that I’ve been tagged in on Facebook and that is sad. I don’t plan to scrapbook or even really print many of these pictures, but I’d like to have a library on my computer of things I’ve done.

On that note, my second resolution is to shift a good portion of my spending from clothes and food to experiences. I want to do more things; I love music and have always dreamed of getting to Coachella and Bonnaroo, two large music festivals, and I’d like to get back to Lollapalooza again this year. I want to hike, kayak, camp, travel, etc., which will be way more enjoyable than online shopping. When you look back at the highlights of the years, do you remember the 56248th t-shirt you bought or the laughs from the road trip with friends?
